Use

When creating or editing a template, you specify the general properties for it. 

Procedure

Define general properties when creating a template.

  1. In the template creation wizard, choose the General Properties step.
  2. Enter a meaningful name for the template.

    The user who creates a room or adds a room part to a room, uses the name to choose the template.

  3. Enter a description.
  4. Optional: Enter the template owner.

    This entry is only for information purposes.

  5. Only for room templates:
    • Select a room type as the default value.
    • If there is to be no selection option for the room type when creating a room, set the Fixed room type flag. The room type selected as the default value then applies.
  6. To define the structure of the rooms in the template, choose the workset for the template.

Define general properties when editing a template.

  1. Choose the General tab page.
  2. When you are editing a template, you cannot change the name.If you have copied a template, replace the suggested name with a meaningful name if required.
  3. If necessary, you can change the description.
  4. Optional: Enter a (different) template owner if necessary.

    This entry is only for information purposes.

  5. Optional (only for room templates):
    • Change the room type selected as the default value if required.
    • If there is to be no selection option for the room type when creating a room, set the Fixed room type flag. The room type selected as the default value then applies.
