Creating, Signing, and Importing PSE Server CertificatesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

If the HTTPS protocol is configured in SAP Web Dispatcher, it needs a key pair and a public key certificate to use for inbound SSL connection requests. This information can be found in the SSL server PSE of SAP Web Dispatcher. If SAP Web Dispatcher also uses SSL for the connection to the back end (re-encryption), it requires a key pair for this connection too. This information can be found in its SSL client PSE.

Procedure

  1. Open the Web Admin UI, and choose PSE Management from the menu on the left.
  2. Select a PSE from the dropdown menu. To create a new key pair for this PSE choose Create New.
The available PSEs are listed in 2009878 Information published on SAP site.
  3. Enter the Distinguished Name, paying attention to the naming convention. The syntax of the distinguished name depends on the Certification Authority (CA) you selected.
Example If you are using SAP CA, the naming convention is: CN=host name>, OU=I<installation number>-<company name>, OU=SAP Web AS, O=SAP Trust Community, C=DE.
  4. Select an algorithm from the dropdown menu.
The supported algorithms are listed in 2004653 Information published on SAP site.
