SSF Administration TasksLocate this document in the navigation structure

There are administration tasks that are required when using secure store and forward (SSF) functions.

This section describes the administrative tasks involved with using SSF in SAP NetWeaver Application Server (SAP NetWeaver AS). Administrative and maintenance tasks that apply to the SAP Cryptographic Library are also included.

For information about tasks that apply to a security product, see the documentation for that security product.

  • If you use SAP Single Sign-On or an external security product, install the product on all of the components where the SSF information is needed. Maintain the users who are to use the digital signatures and digital envelopes.

  • If you use different security products for different applications, define the default SSF information for the applications and maintain the application-specific information.

  • If you use the default security provider SAP Cryptographic Library, you do not need to perform any installation and configuration tasks.

We recommend that you test you implementation after installation and configuration.
