Defining the Layout of a Form TemplateLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

SAP supports the integration of third-party layout technologies for creating form templates. The layout technology includes the layout editor and also the Web services required to process the forms.

In the layout, you define the look and content of the form, as well as the placing of the data to be output. The data fields that are relevant for the layout are defined either in the context of the form template or in an XML schema.

Adobe LiveCycle Designer as the Standard Layout Editor

SAP supports Adobe LiveCycle Designer as the standard editor for forms. If you have installed the layout editor, it opens in the Form Builder when you call the layout of a form template.

Prerequisites
  • You have called a form template for editing and defined the context of the form template (or an XML schema) as the basis for the layout.
