Enabling Tracing in the Mobile Client for HandheldsLocate this document in the navigation structure


Tracing allows you to record the mobile client information and errors that occur when using the client. The results are recorded in a log file. Your administrator can then analyze the log file to view the client information or identify the cause of any errors. Either you or your administrator can enable the client to send this log file to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE).


You have logged on to the mobile client.

  1. On the mobile client homepage, choose Trace.
  2. Select Enable Trace
  3. Select the severity level for the messages.

    We recommend that you contact your administrator before you change this setting.

  4. Choose Save.
