Managing SubscriptionsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

Use the Subscription Administration report to search for and manage subscriptions owned by a certain user or a list of users.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, choose Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step KM Content Next navigation step Toolbox Next navigation step Reports  Next navigation step User related Cleanup End of the navigation path.
  2. In the Subscription Administration report, choose the type of execution:
    • Immediate execution: Start

    • Repeated execution: Schedule

  3. Enter the name of the execution.
  4. Only for repeated execution: Define and activate the schedule.
  5. You can configure the following settings for this report:

    Parameter

    Description

    Location

    Select the repositories from the list which should be searched for subscriptions.

    Maximum Results

    The system terminates the search when it has found the corresponding number of items.

    Parameter

    Description

    Expiration Date

    The report searches for subscriptions that have been expired until the specified date.

    Subscription User

    Unique ID of subscription owner.

    You get the unique ID in the portal at Start of the navigation path User Administration Next navigation step Identity Management End of the navigation path. Search for a user and select the required entry. The unique ID is displayed on the General Information tab page.

    File with List of Subscription Users

    Location of the plain text file that contains a list of subscription owners (logon user IDs or unique IDs).

    When you write such a file with a list of existing or deleted users, you should separate each user by a new line.

    For example, the file contains such a list of users:

    Note

    When you specify the Subscription User parameter, you should not specify the File with List of Subscription Users parameter and vice versa. Only one of these two parameters must be specified.

    Command

    Description

    Delete Subscription

    Deletes the specified subscriptions.

    If you activate this command before starting the report, the system deletes all subscriptions found without asking for confirmation first.

    If you deactivate this command before starting the report, the system displays all subscriptions found in the results list.

    In the results list, you can select subscriptions and then choose the Delete Subscription command for the selected subscriptions.

    Note

    If you select the command when starting the report for the first time, the command is applied immediately to all objects found.

    You can execute the report without the Delete Subscription command. Then you select the subscriptions to which you want to apply the command in the results list and start the report again.

  6. For immediate execution, choose Start or save your settings for report execution according to the schedule.

Results

The system runs the report according to the settings. Once the report has finished, you can view the result by choosing the name of the report from the list of the reports.
