Accessing BEx Objects in the SAP Enterprise Portal
If BEx objects has been published in the portal, the distributed precalculated documents with the historical data or online links are available to users in the portal. Based on these documents and links, users in the portal can have discussions or work in collaboration rooms. You can receive notification of each change to a document, for example a new precalculation, and add evaluations, feedback or personal notes to the documents.
In the portal, the ideal way to access BEx objects is through a central entry page (the BEx Portfolio for example). This shows the content of the Knowledge Management folder where you published the content. The Broadcasting layout profile displays content that is especially tailored to the needs of users who work with BEx objects in the portal.
