
In Web applications with the Analysis, Single Document, and Document List Web items, you can use documents to add comments to and enhance structured business data that you provide, for example, in a table, with unstructured information such as texts, diagrams, and graphics. You provide this information in the form of documents. You can create and display documents for all document classes.
Creating, Editing, and Displaying Documents in the Analysis Web Item
Using the Analysis Web item, you can create, edit, and display context-sensitive documents for the data used in a Web application. You can also display document links to the content of the cells of a report. In this Web item, you use the document browser for working with documents. You can reach the document browser in the following ways:
Using the document browser you can display documents, create a new text document, insert new formatted text, or upload an existing document. Choose the context menu option Create New Formatted Text to display formatting options. Using the column display, you can display the Name, Content, Assignment, and Authorcolumns. To do this, choose Display in the Web application and set the indicator for the columns you want to show.
