Use

All the contents managed in SAP KW are stored as info objects.

Using structures, a special kind of info object, and hyperlinks, you can link info objects in multimedia hyperdocuments, for example, in training courses.

Info objects with a common subject domain are collected and managed in folders.

Info objects and folders are each assigned to an area. The different areas in the SAP KW denote the purpose for which the contents are used. Generally, info objects within an area can be linked with each other using hyperlinks and structures, but info objects of different areas cannot be linked. There are exceptions, however: Info objects in the Training area can be linked to info objects in the Documentation area using hyperlinks, for example.

Info objects are stored in SAP KW in different versions,

which are accessed in different contexts. Customer-specific contents are normally created in

enhancement contexts.
