Use

In the Knowledge Workbench you can adjust a number of settings that control

  • the context (language, enhancement, release) in which you can maintain and display the information object versions

  • the information object attributes to be displayed in the Explorer windows you open in the Knowledge Workbench

  • the attribute values to be used as default values when you create new information objects.

Features

You can configure the following areas in the Knowledge Workbench:

  • Maintenance of information objects

You control which versions of an information object should be used or created by selecting a context (language, enhancement, release).

If you want to access information objects from different contexts, you can change the set context for each open Explorer window.

You can also define an initial context for the new Explorer window.

  • Information Display

You can control which information object attributes should be displayed in the Knowledge Warehouse and Local Repository by defining display settings.

You can show or hide the structure view and object preview in the active Explorer window.

  • Default values for new information objects

You can reduce the amount of data required for creating new information objects by defining default values for the attributes of new information objects.

You can define the default values for all information objects in an area of the Knowledge Warehouse.
