Documentation Maintenance in the ABAP Development Workbench

In the ABAP Development Workbench you can maintain all document classes that refer to objects in the ABAP Development Workbench. This can be done when you create objects. For "technical" documentation this is the only possible approach.

You can access this function from object maintenance via a menu function with name Long Text or Documentation. You will generally find this function as a pushbutton or under the menu option Goto. In the ABAP Dictionary, for example, you can enter documentation for the data element or domain you are currently working on.

When you select this function, the SAPscript editor is called with the object document. After saving your text, you can return to the original object maintenance transaction.
