Viewing and Customizing Threshold ValuesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Purpose

In the SAP Alert Monitor for the SQL Server, alerts draw attention to critical system events or situations that may develop into problems later. The alerts are triggered when threshold values that are predefined for the database are exceeded. These values are preset and based on SAP recommendations for the SQL Server, but can be changed to meet individual system requirements. The following explains how you can view and change threshold values.

Process Flow

  1. Start the SAP Alert Monitor with CCMS → Control/Monitoring → Alert monitor. Alternatively enter transaction code RZ20. In the monitoring tree, choose SAP CCMS Monitor Templates → Database.
  2. Expand the monitoring tree and select the alert for which you want to view or change a threshold value. Choose Properties.
  3. Choose the PerformanceAttrib tab. This is only available if it is possible to change threshold values for the alert you have selected.

The threshold values that are currently active for the monitor are displayed.

  4. To change a value, choose Properties → Display <-> Change.
  5. Make changes as required and save your entries.
