Configuration: Overview

With the Configuration Overview action, you can display the important parameters and configuration options for the SQL Server instance and individual databases.

Use

The Configuration Overview screen is divided in the sub screens SQL Server Instance, Configuration Options, Database Options and SQL Agent Configuration. You can switch between sub screens using the corresponding tab-riders.

• SQL Server Instance

  This sub screen shows selected configuration parameters for the operating system,. Below that you find some selected configuration parameters of the SQL Server instance.

• Configuration Options

  This sub screen shows the memory and scheduler settings of the server. At the bottom you find a list, which shows the result of a special configuration check designed for SAP. Configuration options which are not SAP default or SQL Server default are listed, and the reason for highlighting these options is shown as well.

• Database Options

  This sub screen allows the user to select a particular database to examine. For the selected database some options are shown at the top of the screen. The result of a database configuration check specifically designed for SAP is shown at the bottom of the screen. Any database options that are non standard either for SAP or SQL Server, are listed there.

• SQL Agent Configuration

  This sub screen shows an overview of the current SQL Agent settings.
