Definition

A translator profile is a group of specific authorization objects in transaction Translation Administration (LXE_MASTER) for activities relevant to translation. The translator profile that is assigned to your user in transaction LXE_MASTER determines the translation activities that you can perform.

Example
  • If you are a translator, your translator profile determines the quality statuses that you can assign to the proposals that you create while translating short texts.

  • If you are a translation coordinator, your translator profile determines more complex activities such as the languages for which you can display the statistics and whether you can assign collections or not.

Note

If the role assigned to your system user includes authorization object S_ADMI_FCD with activity TRNR, or if your system user has authorization profile SAP_ALL then you can perform all translation activities without having to be created as a translator or having a translator profile assigned to your user in transaction LXE_MASTER.
