Working with BPMN 2.0 Compliant FilesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You use this procedure to standardize the process diagrams universally for the purpose of remodeling a process. This ensures that your business process diagrams are comprehensible worldwide. BPMN 2.0 Compliant Files make it easier for you to work with process diagrams exchanged among various process modeling tools by forming a consistent language and preserving semantic integrity.

Procedure

Exporting Process Diagrams as BPMN2.0 Compliant Files

  1. In the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, choose Start of the navigation path Windows Next navigation step Open Perspective Next navigation step Other Next navigation step Process Development End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Project Explorer view, expand Process Modeling.

  3. Expand Processes.

  4. Select the process you want to export.

  5. In the context menu of the process, choose Export to BPMN 2.0…

  6. In the Export to BPMN 2.0 dialog box, choose Finish.

Note
  • You can export multiple process diagrams at a time.

  • You can also change the process composer DC by choosing New in the Export to BPMN 2.0 dialog box.

Importing BPMN 2.0 Compliant Diagrams

  1. In the SAP NetWaever Developer Studio, choose Start of the navigation path Windows Next navigation step Open Perspective Next navigation step Other Next navigation step Process Development End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Project Explorer view, expand Process Modeling .

  3. Choose Processes.

  4. In the context menu of Processes, choose Import BPMN 2.0...

  5. In the BPMN 2.0 Import dialog box, choose Finish.

Note

You can change the process composer DC by choosing New in the Import BPMN 2.0 dialog box.

Updating BPMN 2.0 Compliant Files

  1. In the SAP NetWaever Developer Studio, choose Start of the navigation path Windows Next navigation step Open Perspective Next navigation step Other Next navigation step Process Development End of the navigation path.

  2. In the Project Explorer view, expand Process Modeling.

  3. Choose Processes.

  4. In the context menu of Processes, choose Import BPMN 2.0...

  5. In the BPMN 2.0 Import dialog box, choose Update process model and then Finish.

Note
  • The imported file should be valid as per the BPMN 2.0 specification and should contain the extension elements, which have been exported by the Process Composer.

  • Once you execute the import and update of a process model, it would not be possible to revert them.
