Searching for Values

A search is available in the input help dialog that helps you search for the single values you need.

1. Choose Search in the input help dialog. The search template appears.
   Note

   If there are more than 1000 values for this characteristic, the input help dialog automatically shows the input template for the search.

2. Restrict the search. There are three search rows available for the characteristic and its attributes. Compounded characteristics and the text of the characteristic are considered attributes in this context.

   As long as the characteristic has text, you can search in the text or in the key. If there is text, you can enter text for the search into the input field.

   With keys and attributes, you can restrict the search to the required values using input help. Choose . Input help appears in a new dialog box and provides you with the selection of the associated single values.

3. Choose Start Search. All values that fulfill the search criteria are displayed in the lower area of the search.
4. Select the required value and choose OK.
