Creating Sender Partner Profiles on the Receiver System for Processing Java IDocsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Procedure

  1. To configure a partner profile on the receiver system, start transaction /nwe20 .

    The Partner Profiles application opens.

  2. Choose the Create button and enter the settings.

    An application window on which you can create the partner profile opens.

  3. In the Partner No field, enter the logical system which you want to use.
  4. In the Partner Type field choose the value help button and enter a partner type. The following options are available:
    • Logical system (LS)

    • Customer (KU)

    • Vendor (LI)

    • User (US)

      Note that special rules for Java IDoc partner conversion apply for the different partner profiles.

  5. On the Postprocessing: Permitted Agents tab, enter the following settings:
    1. In the Ty field, choose the value help button and then choose the agent type.

    2. In the Agent field, enter the IDoc adapter agent number.

      Optionally you can choose the value help button and then search for an agent.

    3. In the Language field, enter the ISO code of the language you use. For example, enter EN for English.

  6. Save your changes.
  7. On the Outbound Parameters area, add a new entry to the table. The outbound parameter specifies the entries which the adapter sends to the receiver system. Proceed as follows:
    1. Choose Create outbound parameter and add a new entry to the table.

      An application window on which you specify the settings of the outbound parameter opens.

    2. In the Message type field, enter the outbound message type, which you want to send to the receiver.

    3. Enter receiver port in the corresponding field.

    4. Enter IDoc Basic type that corresponds to the message type which you specified in the respective field. Optionally, you can enter extension to this type.

    5. Save your outbound parameter settings.

  8. On the Inbound Parameters area, add a new entry to the table. The inbound parameter specifies the entries which the system receives and operates with. Proceed as follows:
    1. Choose Create inbound parameter and add a new entry to the table.

      An application window on which you specify the settings of the inbound parameter opens.

    2. In the Message type field, enter the inbound message type, which you intend to receive from the Advanced Adapter Engine (AAE).

    3. Enter a process code in the respective field.

    4. Save your inbound parameter settings.

  9. Save your partner profile settings.
