Use

The SDIC support Web UI is aimed at administrators and provides a quick overview of the configuration of SDIC and you can easier locate wrong configurations. You can use it to check the setting of the service properties, for testing of connections or the SSO configuration, and so on.

Procedure

Starting the SDIC Support Web UI

  1. Open the following URL in your browser http://host:port/sdic/support .

  2. Log on to the Web UI.

Checking the SDIC Server Properties

  1. In the SDIC Support Web UI, open the SDIC Service Properties tab page.

  2. You can view the SDIC service properties and the configured values.

  3. In the Remarks column, you can view warnings or error messages regarding the properties.

  4. If your system is a cluster with multiple server nodes, you can select the cluster node ID and display the properties of this node by choosing Refresh .

Depending on the installation, the AS Java server can be distributed onto multiple physical instances (cluster nodes). Using the SAP NetWeaver Administrator tool you can set properties either for the template (which affects the whole cluster) or for specific instances (for the cluster nodes). This can lead to confusion, for example if an administrator accidentally changes a property only on instance A . Now SDIC on instance A will run with the new property value, while SDIC on instance B will still use the old value. Depending on how the end users are dispatched onto the different cluster nodes, they may see different behavior. That is why all instances should use the same property values. The SDIC Support UI checks for differing values on different nodes and gives a warning in this case. The administrators should always set property values at the template and not at the instances.

Testing Connections

  1. In the SDIC Support Web UI, open the Connection Test tab page.

  2. Select the user to test the connection from in the list.

  3. Choose Test Connection pushbutton.

Checking SSO Configuration

You can check if the target NWDI systems are correctly configured to allow Single Sign On (SSO) requests from SDIC.

  1. Open the SDIC Support UI on the NWDI server you want to check.

  2. Choose the Open SSO Check link.

  3. In the UI that appears you can view the policy configuration for a system, and the assigned permissions to a concrete user.
