Disabling the SAML Service ProviderLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have ensured that all resources protected by SAML 2.0 have an alternative authentication mechanism.

Context

Use this procedure when you no longer need SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS) Java to protect hosted applications with Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0.

Procedure

  1. Start SAP NetWeaver Administrator.
  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Configuration Management Next navigation step Security Next navigation step Authentication and Single Sign-On End of the navigation path and choose Start of the navigation path SAML 2.0 End of the navigation path.
  3. Choose the Local Provider link.
  4. Disable or delete the configuration.
    • To disable the configuration, choose the Disable pushbutton.

The AS Java saves the configuration of the service provider. You can re-enable the service provider at any time.

    • To delete the configuration, choose the Delete Configuration pushbutton.

The AS Java deletes the SAML 2.0 configuration. You can decide to keep or delete the related keystore entries and certificates.
