You are authorized to access the portal role containing the Federated Portal workset.
The systems in the FPN connection are registered.
To view the current registration status of an FPN connection, go to the Manage My FPN Connections tool. For more information, see Viewing FPN Connections .
You have at least administrator read-write permission for the FPN connection. For more information, see Assigning Administrator Permissions to FPN Connections .
We recommend that you check the connection with the remote system by running the Access to Remote System test before you perform the registration. For more information, see Testing FPN Connections .
Content usage mode: remote role assignment, remote delta link Applies to: producers, consumers Note
The functionality described in this topic does not apply to an SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment system without usage type EP Core - Application Portal (EPC). |
This topic describes how to unregister systems that are paired in a FPN connection.
If the remote system is running the same SAP NetWeaver release as your system, then a two-way unregistration is performed.
If the remote system is running a lower SAP NetWeaver release, then you can only unregister if your system is the consumer portal (in other words, if the FPN connection was created from your system).
Unregistering from a registered consumer has the following effects on content that you have already consumed:
Remote-based content generated in the same registration scope will not work at runtime. This includes roles consumed through remote role assignment and content consumed through the remote delta link usages.
Note that you can restore the functionality of the content by re-registering your portal with the same registration scope. For more information, see Registering FPN Connections .
If a consumer is registered with the same producer in multiple FPN connections, then only the content that is consumed through the FPN connection which you unregister will be affected.
Personalization data created by business users for content generated through remote role assignment and remote delta link usages is kept in the portal database.
If you want to temporarily block access to or from a remote system producer instead of unregistering, you can use the block access capabilities in the Manage My FPN Connections tool. For more information, see Enabling/Disabling Remote Access in FPN Connections .
