Displaying or Changing Development ConfigurationsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Procedure

You have the following options to display an existing development configuration:

Displaying Development Configurations Using the Transport System

  1. In the AS ABAP of your transport system, call transaction STMS.

  2. Choose System Overview.

  3. From your system landscape, double-click the system that you would like to edit the development configuration for.

  4. If a new development configuration exists for the system, then the symbol bar contains the Development Configuration pushbutton. Select this pushbutton to start the Configuration Service.

    The development configuration is loaded in SAP NetWeaver Administrator and can then be configured.

  5. To make changes to the development configuration, select Edit.

    Note that you can modify some values only in the ABAP system in the Transport Management System (TMS). These are shown as write-protected in the Configuration Service.

    Note

    The name of the development configuration is the same as the system ID. It consists of three characters. The systems are managed using their system ID in TMS.

Displaying Development Configurations in SAP NetWeaver Administrator

  1. Open the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

    Enter <host>:<port>/NWA for this. Enter a user with sufficient authorization in SAP NetWeaver Administrator and the relevant password.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Configuration Management Next navigation step Infrastructure Next navigation step Development Infrastructure End of the navigation path.

  3. Select those development configuration from the list that you want to display or change.

    Note

    Depending on the filter criteria that you selected, the system either shows only standalone development configurations (Standalone), only development configurations created in the TMS (CTS System), or all development configurations that are managed in the system.

    The development configuration is loaded and can be configured.

  4. To make changes to the development configuration, select Edit.
