Checking the Data Loaded into the InfoProviderLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have loaded your data into the InfoProvider (InfoCube, DataStore object, attribute of an InfoObject) and checked it in the monitor.

Procedure

General:

  1. In the context menu for your InfoProvider, choose Display Data.

  2. Select the characteristic values that you want to include.

  3. Choose Field Selection for Output and select the characteristics and key figures that you want to include.

  4. Under Settings, you can make various settings and specify the return type. The default setting is Return as List. You can also write the data to a database table or a file. Only the fields that you have selected are written to the file or database table.

    Note

    This function only allows you to extract small amounts of data for quick checks. For larger amounts of data and more complex checks, you need to use the Open Hub Destination.

  5. Choose Execute.

Expert Mode

  1. Call transaction LISTCUBE. Select your InfoProvider.

    For InfoCubes, you can also call Expert Mode by choosing Start of the navigation path InfoCube Next navigation step Display Next navigation step Edit Next navigation step InfoCube Data Display End of the navigation path.

  2. You can specify whether you also want to display the SIDs, whether aggregation should take place and whether the technical name should be displayed.

  3. You can enter a name for the ABAP program to be generated. You can then save and open variants on the selection screen for InfoProvider requests. This is useful for repeated identical requests and for troubleshooting.

    1. Enter a name for the program.

    2. Proceed as described below.

    3. Once you have made your selections, choose Save.

    4. You can give the variant a name and description and save it.

  4. Choose Execute.

  5. Select the characteristic values that you want to include.

  6. Choose Field Selection for Output and select the characteristics and key figures that you want to include.

  7. Under Setting, you can make various settings.

  8. Choose Execute.
