Creating a KM Export TemplateLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

If you want to perform a transport more than once or regularly, you can create an export template.

An export template corresponds to a transport request that can be used to generate further instances with the same settings.

Procedure

To create an export template, proceed as follows:

  1. In the portal, choose Start of the navigation path Content Administration  Next navigation step  KM Content End of the navigation path. In the detailed navigation, choose Start of the navigation path Export Next navigation step Export Templates End of the navigation path.

  2. Choose New Transport Package . A window containing a form appears.

  3. Enter a name for the transport package. Enter the folders that you want to transport and make any optional filter settings you require. For more information about this form, see Exporting KM Content .

  4. To save the transport package as a template, choose Save . The form closes and you return to the Export Templates overview.

Commands for Transport Templates

In the overview of all transport templates, you can find the following commands in the context menu alongside the name of a transport template:

  • Use Template : Create a new transport request based on the transport template.

  • Edit Template : Change the paths and settings for the transport template.

  • Delete Template : Delete the transport template.

Creating a Transport Template Subsequently

You can also use a scheduled, running, or completed transport request to subsequently create a transport template.

  1. In the context menu for the transport template, choose Save As Template .

  2. Specify a name for the transport template and choose Save .
