To make content on your (producer) portal available to other remote consumer portals in your federated portal network (FPN) environment, you need to assign the appropriate portal permissions to content that resides on your portal.
The manner in which you assign the permission, the type of permission you assign, and the need to apply additional settings or not, depend on which content usage mode you are implementing in your landscape.
