Transporting Alert CategoriesLocate this document in the navigation structure


You can transport alert categories in order to make them available in other systems.


To transport alert categories the following prerequisites have to be met:

  • In the Client s Overview (transaction SCC4) choose Details. The setting Automatic recordings of changes has to be selected in the group box Changes and Transports for Client-Specific Objects.

  • There must exist the corresponding transport connection.


To transport alert categories proceed as follows:

  1. Open the ALM customizing transaction ALRTCATDEF.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Transport Next navigation step Current Alert Category End of the navigation path or Transport all alert categories.

    You are asked to specify a customizing request.

  3. Choose an existing customizing request or create a new one.


You can check in transaction SE09, if the category was inserted into the customizing request.
