Importing a Development Configuration
Prerequisites
You are logged on to the development infrastructure.
Context
In this step you configure the SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI) development environment. This means that you import a predefined development configuration into the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. The development configuration supplies your local development environment with all the necessary information for adding infrastructure services and systems (for example Design Time Repository (DTR) workspaces, landscape directory and so on). In addition, the configuration contains a set of software components (SCs), to which a set of development components (DCs) is assigned, as per the SAP component model.
Procedure

In the Development Infrastructure perspective, choose New Import Development Configuration icon.

In the dialog that appears, choose if you want to import the development configuration, or if you want to create a new development configuration from scratch. In this tutorial we choose to import the development configuration from the System Landscape Directory (SLD).

If a log on dialog that appears, log on to the SLD.

Select the development configuration to import. You can have dev workspace for development, and cons for consolidation tasks. The administration of the system landscape has defined each of these development configurations.

Complete the import.
Results
The corresponding nodes are displayed in the Local display mode. The import automatically created a folder in which the files are stored for this configuration.
