Checking In Activities of Other UsersLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

  • You have the necessary privileges for check-in and also the privilege required to check in activities, which you do not own.

  • The activity contains the state that is intended for the check-in.

  • You and the owner of the activity have agreed on the steps described below.

Context

In certain development phases, quality managers need control over the check-in operations into a particular DTR workspace. This is achieved by removing the checkin privileges of the developers so that they can no longer perform check-ins. To the quality manager, a special privilege for checking in the activities of the developers is granted.

Procedure

  1. Start the DTR command line tool of the DTR.

  2. The owner of the activity logs on.

    Note

This is important because the mount points are user-specific.

  3. Execute the following command: checkin -a <activity name> -U <user ID of quality manager or another authorized user> .

    A logon window appears.

  4. Log on and if required, confirm the check-in.

Results

The activity is checked in.
