To adjust the new versions of the software components (SCs) with your modifications, you must register the SCs in the CMS of the NWDI and then adjust the new version with the modifications.
Checking In the SCs to Be Modified
Go to the CMS Transport Studio and choose the track in which you want to modify the software component.
Choose the Check-In tab page.
Choose Configure Check-In... and enter the directory $(TRANSDIR)/EPS/in/CMS$(HOSTNAME)$(SYSTEMNAME) as an additional check-in directory.
Select the SCs and choose Check-In . The SCs are placed in the import queue of the development system.
You must check in both the SCs you have modified and the SCs that have dependencies on these modified SCs. This is necessary to also register the dependencies for a correct build and subsequent deployment in the track.
Import into the Development System
Choose the Development tab page and import the SCs into the development workspace of the DTR.
You may encounter import conflicts in the DTR, build errors, or deployment errors in this step. However, this step also employs conflict recognition tools that you can use to adjust modifications at a later time.
For more information, see Design Time Repository Conflicts .
Adjusting Modifications
Use NWDI to adjust the modifications. After this step, you should no longer encounter any DTR conflicts, or build and deployment errors.
