Deleting a TrackLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can use this function to delete a track in the Change Management Service (CMS).

Prerequisites

You have already created tracks in the Landscape Configurator.

If you want to delete a development track, the DTR and CBS must have been started.

Procedure

To delete a track, proceed as follows:

  1. In the track list, select the track that you want to delete.

  2. Select Change . The track display switches to change mode and the Delete button becomes active.

  3. Choose Delete . The Confirmation Dialog dialog box appears.

  4. Confirm by choosing Delete .

Result

You have deleted a track.

Note

When you delete a development track in the CMS, the DTR workspaces that were generated when the track was created are not deleted.

For a description of how to delete DTR workspaces, see the DTR documentation under DELETEWORKSPACE .

The workspaces that need to be deleted have the following naming convention:

<track ID>/<software component>/dev/active

<track ID>/<software component>/dev/inactive

<track ID>/<software component>/cons/active

<track ID>/<software component>/cons/inactive

Note

When you delete workspaces, you also permanently delete all their data, including the corresponding change history. In addition, all references to the workspaces must be removed from the linked SAP NetWeaver Developer Studios; otherwise, inconsistencies could arise.
