Switching the Dialog Box for Load Distribution for Users On/Off

When users manually start a BWprocess that is executed in the background, a dialog box normally appears in which they can define how the load should be distributed when the process is handled. There are the options Server, Host and Server Group. This query refers to the mainwork process. For parallel processing, the work processes that were split off are run using BW background management. If no dialog box appears, SAP background processing handles the processes.

You can define which users should never see this dialog box and which users should always see the dialog box. In this way you can define which users can change the load distribution when handling the BW processes.

You are on the BW Background Management, Logs and Tools screen (transaction RSBATCH).

1. On the Background and Parallel Processes tab, select Switch Off F4 Popup for Server/Host/Group.
2. In the upper table, enter the users who should not see the dialog box for load distribution using the server.

   When these users start a process in the background, the SAP background processing handles the process.

3. In the lower table, enter the users who should always see the dialog box for load distribution using the server.
