Use

Use this procedure to create or delete a local client for connecting from the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio to the Design Time Repository (DTR) .

Note

When you import a development configuration from the SLD, it may contain already configured DTR clients for the Developer Studio. Using these clients you will not be able to edit the associated access control list (ACL) files in the Permissions view. To solve that issue, leave the existing DTR client as it is. Then create and configure a new DTR client for the same repository, and use it to configure the ACL files. ACL editing works only with the manually created client. For more information about how to import the development configuration, see Managing Development Configurations .

Procedure

Creating a DTR Client

  1. Open the Design Time Repository perspective.

  2. Open the context menu of the root node in the Repository Browser view.

  3. Choose Create Client...

  4. In the dialog that appears, specify:

    1. Name - a name for the DTR client.

    2. DTR Server URL - the URL of the DTR server in the form http://<server_name:port_number>/dtr .

    3. Location - : the directory in the local file system in which you want to store files and folders from the DTR during synchronization ( sync ).
