Using Party EditorsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You use the party editor to enter a communication party.

You can either specify a constant value, or define that the value for the communication party is determined dynamically from the content of the message.

If you want the value to be determined dynamically, you can enter either a context object or an XPath expression.

Furthermore, you can specify an agency and identification scheme for the party.

Example

You can use the party editor, for example, to specify a receiver party in either a receiver determination or receiver rule.

Procedure

Enter Constant Value

Choose Constant and enter the value.

Specify That Value Is Determined Dynamically

Choose Dynamic .

Depending on whether you want to enter a context object or an XPath expression, choose the relevant option and then follow the same procedure as for the expression editor.

Enter Prefix-Namespace Pair

If the element in the message that you want to access is qualified by a namespace, you must give the namespace a prefix. The prefix is then used as an abbreviation of the namespace in XPath expressions.

You assign a prefix to a namespace (in the form of a prefix-namespace-pair) in the table.

To add a new prefix-namespace-pair to the table, choose Insert a Row Below Selection . To delete a prefix-namespace-pair from the table, choose Delete Selected Row .

If you transfer an XPath expression from the structure of the message, the corresponding prefix-namespace-pair is created automatically.

Enter Value for Agency and Scheme

If you specify the party by using a context object or an XPath expression, you must also specify the agency and the scheme so that the party is defined completely.

More information: Identifiers

Enter the values in the Agency and Scheme fields. Use the input help.

Use the expression editor to enter the values.
