Changing TREX Host Names (Multiple Hosts)

You change the TREX host name for a TREX multiple-host installation on each host in your distributed TREX landscape where TREX has been installed and configured. You change the host name on one TREX host first and repeat the same procedure for the other hosts that you want to rename.

The way you change TREX host names depends on the mode of the TREX name server ( slave or master name server) and on the type of data storage that you have chosen for your distributed landscape:

1. Changing the TREX Host Name for the Slave Name Server

   • Decentralized data storage

   • Centralized data storage

2. Changing the TREX Host Name of the Master Name Server

   • Decentralized data storage

   • Centralized data storage
