Displaying a Query in a Tabular ViewLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can use Report Designer to display a query in a tabular view. Characteristics and key figures are displayed in the columns in the tabular display.

In Report Designer, you can align characteristics, key figures and attributes in the columns exactly how you want. For example, you can put a key figure column between two characteristic columns. The column display is determined when the query is designed and cannot be altered.

Procedure
  1. Insert a report section into your report. This report section must be based on a query with a structure as a data provider.
  2. Expand all group levels In the query by dragging all group level characteristic fields (attributes) from group level G1 to the row pattern in the detail area.
    Note

To drag the characteristic fields to the detail area, click the relevant row, click the field and then drag it to the detail area.

  3. Delete all empty rows that result from moving the characteristic fields.

To do this, select the row and delete it using the context menu.

  4. To change the position of a column, select the entire column and enter the required position in the Properties screen area under the Properties tab.
    Note

Note that the Hide Repeated Key Valuesfunction from Query Designer is currently not supported in Report Designer.

Result

You have inserted a multidimensional query into a report and created a tabular view of this query.
