Creating a ConnectionLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

In accordance with the Authorization Concept, the user was assigned one of the roles SAP_BC_LVC_ADMINISTRATOR or SAP_BC_LVC_SUPERUSER. You can reach the user menu of the user with the authorizations that correspond to his or her role.

Context

In the Integration user menu, you can, among other things, create a new liveCache connection.

Procedure

  1. In the user menu, choose liveCache Assistant (transaction  LC10).
  2. Enter the name of the database connection.
  3. Choose liveCacheIntegration.
  4. To be able to change integration information, you must be in change mode. Switch to this mode, if necessary.
  5. Specify the SAP liveCache connection information ( liveCache Name, liveCache Server).
  6. Enter the required user data.
  7. If necessary, you can make specifications for administration reports or control automatic monitoring.
  8. Choose Start of the navigation path Connection Next navigation step Save End of the navigation path.

Results

The system displays a message if the SAP liveCache connection was successfully created. The SAP liveCache connection information is stored in the tables DBCON and DBCONUSR.
