The current version number of SAP MaxDB is 7.9. SAP MaxDB and SAP liveCache use the same version numbers.

To display the version of your database software, you can use Database Studio, Database Manager CLI, or the CCMS (for SAP systems only).
The version number of the database software is the same as the version number of the database and of Database Manager CLI. The Database Manager CLI software is part of the base package of the database software and can only be installed together with that software. To display the version of your database software, you can therefore use the dbm_version DBM command. If you have already created databases, you can also use the db_enum DBM command.
