Use

Using the Set Hierarchy command (SET_HIERARCHY), you can set a hierarchy at the runtime for a Web application.

Command Parameters

The following information lists the command parameters in the same sequence that they appear in the command wizard when you insert the command:

Parameter Description

Target Data Provider (TARGET_DATA_PROVIDER_REF_LIST)

 

You enter a list of all data providers to which the command relates.

You specify the individual data providers in the Data Provided Affected parameter (TARGET_DATA_PROVIDER_REF).

Characteristic (CHARACTERISTIC)

You use this parameter and the input help dialog to select the characteristic to which a display hierarchy is to be assigned.

Active (ACTIVE)

You use this parameter to specify whether the hierarchy is to be active.

Hierarchy Identifier (HIERARCHY_ID)

You use this parameter to specify the hierarchy. You do this by setting the following parameters:

Name of the Hierarchy(HIERARCHY_NAME)

You specify the technical name of the hierarchy.

Version (VERSION)

If versioning is used for the hierarchy, you specify the version. Otherwise you can leave this parameter empty.

Key Date (YYYYMMDD) (DUEDATE): You specify the key date for time-dependent hierarchies or attributes. The key date must have the format YearMonthDay (for example, 20001224).

If this parameter is not transferred, the key date in the query is copied.

Initial Drill Level (INITIAL_DRILL_LEVEL)

You use this parameter to specify the initial drill level for the hierarchy.
