Use

Using the Call Save Dialog command (SAVE_AS), you can call the save dialog from a Web application, to save query views or the Web application.

Command Parameters

The table below lists the command parameters as they appear in the Command Wizard when you insert the command:

Parameter Description

Data Provided Affected (TARGET_DATA_PROVIDER_REF)

You use this parameter to specify which data provider you want the command to relate to.

Display Single Filter Entry (DISPLAY_SINGLE_FILTER_ENTRY)

You use this parameter to specify whether the dropdown box in the save dialog is to be displayed as a dropdown box when it contains one entry only.

Layout of the Open-Save Dialog

(OPEN_SAVE DIALOG_LAYOUT)

You use this parameter to specify the layout of the open/save dialog. You have the following options:

Display All Options (FULL)

If you choose this option, you can save the Web application using the save dialog and can thereby create a bookmark. This generates a KM entry in the portal. Access to all KM repositories is possible (including the from the options in the  TEMPLATE_PERSISTENCY option).

Display Only Template Persistency Options(TEMPLATE_PERSISTENCY)

If you choose this option, you can save the Web application using the save dialog and can thereby create a bookmark.  This generates a KM entry in the portal. Access only possible to personal BEx repository and the portal favorites (My Portfolio, BEx Portfolio, Portal Favorites).

Display Only Data Provider PersistencyOptions (DATAPROVIDER_PERSISTENCY)

If you choose this option, you can use the save dialog to save query views created in the Web application.

Note

Bookmarks are used when running this command. If you have saved a bookmark for a Web application and subsequently change either the underlying Web template or the query used as a data provider, the changes will not be visible in the bookmark. If you need to make changes to an existing Web application for which there are bookmarks and that you use in production operation, proceed as follows:

  1. Create a copy of the underlying Web template and the query used.
  2. Make the required changes to the copy of the Web template.
  3. Provide the users with the changed Web application.
