If you want to automate the execution of a Reporting Agent scheduling package, you can include it in aprocess chain run as an application process.
You have assigned one or more Reporting Agent settings to a scheduling package.
In the Reporting Agent, choose Process Chain Maintenance from the toolbar. The Process Chain Maintenance Plan View screen appears.
If no suitable process chain is available, create a new process chain. For more information, seeCreating Process Chains.
In the Reporting Agent process category, you can select the following application process types:
Exception Reporting
Print in Background
Precalculating Web Templates
Precalculating Value Sets

Choose Create if you want to create a new process variant. A dialog box appears in which you can enter a description for your application process.
Enter the description for your application process and choose Continue. The process maintenance screen for your application process appears. The system displays information about the variant at the top of the screen:

Last changed on
The lower area, Reporting Agent Package, is used to display and enter the configuration of the respective application process.
Application process type
This field is input ready
Enter the name of the Reporting Agent scheduling package that you want to include as an application process in the process chain. Input help is available. Save your entries.
After saving, the system displays the description of the chosen scheduling package and, in the Reporting Agent Setting area it displays the Reporting Agent setting components with the last changed date.
You have included the required Reporting Agent scheduling package in a process chain.
