Naming Conventions for InfoProviders of SAP Dataflow TemplatesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Concept

The naming of InfoProviders is regulated by the naming conventions for DataStore objects and the naming conventions for semantically partitioned objects.

The InfoProviders of the data flow templates are named as follows:

  • Layer: 1. position

The first letter of the layer where the InfoProvider is located

  • Area: 2.-5. position

A four-character abbreviation that describes the data content (the DataSource or business scenario for example)

  • Sequence number: 6. position

The sequence number of the InfoProvider if there is more than InfoProvider in this layer for this area.

  • Domain: 7. position

A single character abbreviation that stands for the domain

  • Partition: 8. position

A single-character abbreviation that stands for a further partitioning of the InfoProvider
