Selection Criteria for Start Date when Scheduling in Background.

Use

The data request can be scheduled once or periodically. Here, periodically means that you determine the cycle in which the data is to be scheduled in the background job (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or over other periods). You have the option to start the data request immediately, on a particular date, at a particular time, after a job, after an event or in a particular operation mode.

Activities

One-off scheduling of the data request

  1. Select the radio button Start Data Load Immediately or Start Later in Batch.
  • You can use the Scheduling Options function to define the required start date.
  • Save your entry of the Start date values.

You return to the initial screen Tabstrip: Schedule.

  1. Start the job.

Periodic scheduling of the data request

  1. Select the Start Later in Batch radio button.
  2. Using the function Scheduling Options, you can define the required start date.
  3. Set the indicator for Execute Job Periodically and select a period using the function Period Values.
  4. Save your entries.
  5. You return to the initial screen Tabstrip: Schedule.

  6. Select the runtime of the periodical job by selecting one of the radio buttons Do not Terminate Job or Terminate Job after X Runs.

To prevent the system from endlessly requesting data, you can limit the data request with a numerical entry in the field Terminate after X Runs. The number you enter determines after how many runs the system is to terminate the load process.
