Current Messages

Use

The Kernel Messages user menu of the DBA Cockpit contains a display of the current kernel log. The messages output in the knldiag kernel log support you when you interpret the events that occurred since the database system was started.

Procedure

Open the DBA Cockpit (transaction DBACOCKPIT) and choose Start of the navigation path Diagnosis Next navigation step Messages Kernel Messages Current Messages End of the navigation path .

Caution

For SAP NetWeaver 7.1, the kernel messages are displayed in the Old display.

Result

The system displays the current log (kernel log knldiag).

You can use the navigation help (Start of File, End of File, Start of Write Cycle, Current Write Position) for orientation within the message files.

Choose Import File to update the output.
