A function can be inactivated either in the Menu Painter (statically) or at runtime of the respective program (dynamically). In the menu bar, all inactive functions will be displayed grayed out, but cannot be hidden completely. Only the application toolbar offers the possibility to decide, whether an inactive function will be displayed grayed out or will be hidden completely. A combination is also allowed (Function Selection).

You can choose between Display all, Hide all and Function selection. If you select the last radio button, the system allows you to select the required functions from a list where all the functions assigned to the application toolbar are displayed.
If you have defined to view inactive functions, the pushbuttons in the application toolbar are not shifted when you activate or deactivate functions dynamically.
