Using SAP NetWeaver for a SAML Source Site

SAP NetWeaver also enables you to use its Enterprise Portal usage types for a SAML source site to enable user login with SSO based on SAML browser artifacts.

For this access scenario, a SAML source site authenticates the user access and issues the SAML artifact for an SSO environment. Portal users can then use SSO with the SAML artifact to access configured SAML destination sites.

SAP NetWeaver enables you to use a Portal or an external SAML authentication authority for a source site to integrate SAP NetWeaver systems in SAML-enabled SSO environments.

1. Change the startup mode of the SAML service of the AS Java
2. Configure SAP NetWeaver as a SAML source site
