Use

Portal Development Kit for Microsoft .NET (PDK for .NET) is a set of tools that enable Microsoft .NET developers to build portal content for SAP NetWeaver Portal. The information in this section applies to versions 2.0 and 2.5 of PDK for .NET.

Organizations that have existing investments in Microsoft .NET technology can leverage their developers’ skills and take advantage of the SAP NetWeaver technology. .NET portal components draw on the strengths of the .NET Framework and ASP.NET, as well as the SAP NetWeaver Portal services. PDK for .NET supports both .NET languages: C# and VB.NET.

The PDK for .NET package is comprised of the following components:

·        Portal Add-in for Visual Studio 2003 or 2005 (development environment)

·        Portal Runtime for Microsoft .NET(runtime environment)

·        Java - .NET Interoperability components
