Chart Designer 

Definition

The SAP Chart Designer is a tool for generating customizing settings (for example, colors and shading) for business graphics.

 

 

Use

You can save the settings as an XML file and use them with the Chart Engine to define the customizing of charts.
It is particularly useful for branding purposes, for example so that a company can generate graphics with a uniform appearance.

 

Integration

The Chart Designer can be used in conjunction with the Chart Engine in the context of the Internet Graphics Service. You use it to specify customizing settings, for example specifying chart types and colors.

 Within the SDN download catalog, section WebAS, a special zip file is offered that contains a Chart Designer installation as well as additional information about the Chart Designer itself and about the shape of the XML files. This is particularly helpful when you create graphics for Business Server Pages (BSP).
