Installing the NetWeaver Developer Studio Plug-in 

The NetWeaver Developer Studio plug-in for the Support Platform is designed to simplify the process of developing Support Platform plug-ins. It enables you to create a Support Platform project and add plug-ins to the project.

When you create a Support Platform project, it automatically contains the proper classpath, an example plug-in and a plugins.xml file.

Procedure

       1.      Download the file com.sapportals.supportplatform.ide.zip from SAP note 812688 to your local machine.

       2.      Unzip the file, and place the com.sapportals.supportplatform.ide.zip folder  into the NetWeaver Developer Studio plug-ins directory (the default directory is C:\Program Files\SAP\JDT\eclipse\plugins).

       3.      Restart NetWeaver Developer Studio.

Result

The NetWeaver Developer Studio plug-in for the Support Platform is installed.

You can create a project of type Support Platform. In NetWeaver Developer Studio, select File → New → Other. A dialog is displayed with a list of wizards, including one for the Support Platform.
