Media Sales and Distribution (M/SD) 

The Periodical Sales and Distribution area provides functions for managing the sale of publications that are published periodically (newspapers and magazines) in your source system.

This solution focuses on subscription processing. This includes subscription-specific functions for the following areas:

·        Master data (business partner, product, geographical structures, distribution etc)

·        Sales (order management for various types of subscription)

·        Shipping (such as home delivery)

·        Billing

·        Settlement (home delivery and commission settlement)

 

Configured business content for subscription processing is available to you in the Media Sales and Distribution (M/SD) InfoArea of the SAP Business Information Warehouse. This can be used to evaluate the order data (at document and item level), address and advertising data, renewal subscriptions, and billing and settlement data.
