WFM Work Area

Use

This object is a principle InfoObject to the BW Model and is used to represent an organizational unit for the CRM WFM application.  An employee is assigned to a Work Area for every assignment (shift) and workload (demand) is generated for it.  An example might be a queue in a Call Center environment or the job of cashier in a Retail one.  Work Area is a key in most of the transactional Data Sources and has Master Data extractors for getting its attributes and texts.  In BW most data is stored based on this object and this object is often used as the lowest level of aggregation on reports.
