You use this activity to identify computerized numerical control (CNC) programs and to define the material/routing/resource relationship for the program. A CNC program is a computer program containing instructions to drive a CNC machine. The program specifies how a component is to be made from material such as aluminum, steel, wood, or plastic. CNC machining can quickly and automatically produce a component of many complex dimensions.

Prerequisites
  1. You have configured SAP ME Web services (see SAP ME 6.0 Security Guide at   http://service.sap.com/instguides   SAP Business Suite Applications   SAP Manufacturing   SAP Manufacturing Execution   SAP Manufacturing Execution 6.0  ).

  2. You have set the CNC/DNC Type and CNC/DNC Server rules in System Rule Maintenance (see Resource Rules).

  3. You have specified a CNC machine in Resource Maintenance.
